The Edge of the Wold

Whizzing

Spring wouldn't be complete without cute duckling blips. These two were part of a brood of 9, whizzing about like clockwork toys on the water, a hopeless task for their mother to keep them all together. It's not a good idea to return to the same spot each day as the rate of attrition can be saddening.

I was late coming home, and had to be rescued from Kendal by Wifie. The car went to Fred's this morning, and it needed rather more doing to it than I had feared. So much, in fact, that he didn't have it finished at the end of the day. Cars, don't we love them?

So we stopped by the canal on the way home to give Gus a stretch of the legs, and to enjoy the ducklings.
