1st-sneakiest-least cooperative.

Customary three-pronged assault on a local Garden centre.  The customary crop of flower Macros ensued.  What is it about flowers/gardens?

For a change this spider caught my eye, then snuck off and "hid".
It's the first I remember this year - and both sneaky and uncooperative to boot.
NOTE - Paraphrase of a better known sentence:-
"Be careful what you look for."  -  I grew up introduced to it as a "Cross-bearing Garden Spider" - SO - that's what I looked for to check its name.
WRONG!  With a vengeance!!
That yielded Universal Joints, Volvo joint cross, small metal spiders, etc.
Not to mention one - "Copper spider with chrysocolla, agate and seeds, metal spider sculoture, spider skluptur $168.36
Seems it's know, by the rest of humanity as "The Garden cross spider (Araneus diadematus) is a common and delightful sight that is found in gardens up and down the country between June and November."

Extra - just B-coz I liked it.
