250mm Vs. 500mm

My options:-
1. Tried Alice's Laptop no Affinity used GIMP - essentially the message said "NO chance matey, I can't handle THAT RAW.
2. Shoot  .JPG only until arrival of Card reader.
3. Use reader No. 3's intermittent behaviour, since No. 4  seems to be visually impaired.

Top   -      250mm on "ordinary" Lens.
Bottom - 300mm TAMRON© "Mirror" - MUST remember there's a LOT more to it than mere Telephoto.

Neither cropped AT ALL, 
Clarity ^ by 25%.
Clouds - Haze removal.
"Land" - "High pass" sharpen filter.
