Glass half full, glass half empty

I've been suffering from a mistaken attempt to reducemy lithium level The result has been a topsy-turvey week of extreme mood highs and extreme lows. The highs sound like fun, but they are not. I've been impatient, irritable and overly wound. I can go from one extreme to the other within 24hours. I misunderstood the instructions my psychiatrist gave me and lowered the dose more than she had advised me too. Lithium is an unforgiving drug. We are trying to get off it, but you have to do it terribly gradually. The good news is that this will pass.
