Autumn colours are starting to come to the fore. I’m sure James would approve.
Heading to the tenpin I noticed there are a lot of trees along the Water of Leith marked for felling, mostly willows for some reason. Most of them seem perfectly healthy to me but maybe there’s a beetle problem, or moth problem, or some other invasive species problem, or else there are just too many of them. I may never know.
Tenpin was good. The first Sunday match of the season, up against the best team in the league, we played well and managed to win a point. One more than expected so a minor victory!
