Bowood 2013 #8

I spent Monday afternoon in Chippenham shopping in the sunshine. There were several swans, ducks and pigeons by the river, and I spent some time watching them and those feeding them, and finally took in the complete scene from the bridge.

The return journey gave me another opportunity to visit Bowood, and see the latest at Tractor Ted's Little Farm. The three Gloucester Old Spot piglets are getting quite large now, having been born in January, and will not be at Bowood for much longer, so as my previous attempts to photograph them had been fairly rubbish, I had another go, with the assistance of Alex, who bribed one of them (Rocky?) with a nice red apple.

Quite a few of the current crop of animals will be departing to the farm that they come from soon, apparently, and the next arrivals will be some younger ewe lambs and their mothers, so this mother ewe will be soon be re-united with her flock.
