Nature Diary..Planet Jupiter and some of its moons

The planet Jupiter, the largest in our Solar System. It will not be this close to Earth again until the year 2129 (107 years from now) so I'm told.
Tonight is Jupiter's closest encounter with Earth in 29 years (i.e. since 1963).
Jupiter has 80 moons 57 of which have been given official names by the International Astrological Union.
