Viola Carpet

We've driven south today to compete in the British Orienteering Championships this weekend, south west of London. En route we broke the journey at RHS Wisley and what a lovely place it is! It is in spring bloom at present, obviously, so not yet at its best but still there were masses of blooms to enjoy and certainly the blossom is much further advanced than back up north. This is a carpet of hundreds of violas alongside an enormous field which is presently being sown with meadow wildflowers for a summer maze, what a pity we will miss that!

More Wisley blips are here!
