Checking Each Other Out.

We had thought of going to the Botanical Gardens again, but the weather looked a bit iffy.

So, we went to Tallowwood Park instead.

Bought ice-cream first, and then went for a walk around the lake.

We spotted a family of Wood Ducks with 6 ducklings.  They weren't in the least bit worried when we wandered by.

After a play in the park, we were on our way back to the car, when we saw a pair of black swans.

They were very young, but they had 2 cygnets, who were quite a size.  The mother seemed to be looking for food, and she kept following us.

The male took a dislike to a mother coot, who had 2 tiny babies.  He chased her away but left the babies alone.

She made her way back to her babies, protesting loudly.

We then went to the park by the library and played there until lunchtime.

Isabella still has a sore foot.  She has spent the afternoon resting (sort of) and putting together a box of Lego.

She finished it just in time before her Dad came to get them.

A storm is brewing as I type.
