Hygieia

St Bernard’s well statue of Hygieia, Edinburgh

A calm morning. Walked over to Lyon & Turnbull in the early afternoon to look at their auction of  rare books (sale today, 28th September, if any of you read this in time).  The farming surveys of various counties in Scotland  from 1790 - 1815 or so I wanted to see were too damaged for me to take them on at the moment .. hopefully someone who can conserve them properly will buy them  There was quite a lot of Eric Gill work, which was interesting to see, though not to own.

Back by the Water of Leith, passing Hygieia (Goddess of Hygiene). A long email and 10 pdfs for last minute review appeared from our solicitors, with whom I was not best pleased .. they had no good excuse for not having sent this stuff at least a day ago.  Not a fan of unnecessary drama.
