Late summer....

..... gold to brown

The crops are long harvested and the straw bales stored away. The fields have been turned and ploughed and await the first autumn rains before new seeds can be sown.  The gold of wheat and barley is long gone and shades of brown skirt the deep green of the olive groves.  No rain has fallen in this area of the valley south of El Torcal all of September but the early mornings and evenings are cooler and autumn is in the air.
