Motorway Services

They used to get a pretty bad press, but this one, Killington Services on the M6 southbound, has always had a glorious view.  I last stopped here decades ago; I can deduce that because Mrs B hadn't seen the place.  It is perhaps even more attractive now because the trees are more mature.

The view reminds me of being chased by a Phantom in around 1980, me in a singleton Jaguar heading northeast towards those hills, outgunned by the air defence aircraft but I did my best to avoid being "shot down" by hiding in the valleys.

This is a panorama from several images stitched together.  The automatic version from my camera was as good, but I preferred this.
