Morning

The Seine was comparatively flat & slightly misty this morning & I managed to catch it before the sun rose above the side of the valley - this is the view upstream. I also had a prowl around after breakfast - the first extra is a tanker going out with the morning sun behind it.

Since then we've driven up to Quend Plage, just north of the Baie de Somme, to a pleasant camping-car park surrounded by pines. It's a strange little town, mainly holiday homes we suspect, &, as we're never here in the summer, it always looks deserted. We did walk down to the seafront, where there were a few walkers & some sand yachters - & very distinctive layers of cloud hiding the lowish sun - that's the second extra.
