Life At Dragonfly Cottage

Verbena in the grass...

A couple of years ago I had two hanging baskets with red verbena that had mostly died back as winter approached but there was still some life in them and they can be perennial here so I tucked the baskets under the edge of the azaleas in front of my front porch. Now each year they come back, blooming in the grasses, the bright, cherry red blossoms standing out against the tender green blades creating a stunning effect. So if there's some life in your hanging baskets, tuck them in somewhere and give them a chance!
