Lunch

Another picture from my pond. This is one of our resident pond skaters. They look very nice as they skip across the surface of the pond on a sunny day, but in reality they are very successful predators and anything (such as the small fly in the picture) which falls onto the surface is quickly tracked down and eaten.

The picture was cropped quite drastically to make the pond skater big enought in the frame to be seen clearly.

Won't be around tomorrow (Saturday) as I'm off to London to watch Spurs play Southampton. Back late Sunday, so may not blip then either. I will be taking pictures, however, so will keep up my picture a day record!
