Wyoming Seminary

We're attending my wife Marylee's 50th high school reunion at Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pennsylvania. She was granted a scholarship which enabled her to transfer from the local high school for the last two years. They were the springboard which made possible her four years at Mount Holyoke College, followed by two years at Oxford.

We're attending Marylee's 50th reunion, meeting many of her former classmates--a wonderful day. I have much more of a sense of how much attending the school meant to her. This is a view of key buildings on the campus; the tower just visible in the center background belonged to the school's chapel--the rest of which was swept away in the 1972 flood of the nearby Susquehanna river, which also devastated her childhood home and much of the rest of the town.
