Quince time

I think this year’s quince crop looks more like lemons, especially against the bluest of blue skies. It’s one of my favourite scrumping sessions, especially on such a beautiful day. My ‘supplier’ has a wonderful old tree, which was pruned last year; with this year’s amazing summer it might count as a mast year.
I’ve got around 20kg, ready for jelly making, and braising in orange juice and spices.
Otherwise I've been grubbing around in the loft, finally it's time to get rid of stuff...
