A busy day started nicely with a walk in Corvedale, Hollie thoroughly enjoying the wide open spaces and some glorious sunshine. 

Then Mrs I, and I, attacked the garden. Our first real effort to tame the wilderness and we now know what we are up against. I spent most of the day mowing the three large areas of lawn and my wife started pruning and cutting back some of the shrubby overgrown borders. We have a fantastic space approximately two and a half times the plot we left three weeks ago. It has been neglected by the previous owners but even after one day of effort we can see some of the wood for the trees.

It will take some time but we both feel upbeat about knocking this place into shape.

And we have some mighty fine views to keep us motivated.
