Trees in the lake

Today we visited the Railway Dam, also known as the Railway Dam Lake seeing that the railway has not used this expanse of water as a dam for about 50 years.

The dam was built in 1883, to supply water for the steam engines on the 1882 line into the Adelaide Hills. It's now a medium large body of water that the steam trains formerly used up to about the mid '60s.

I knew this spot had wonderful reflections of trees and sometimes you can also find a few birds on the water. Today I went for the trees in the lake circular reflections, our rough equivalent to the tree in the Wanaka Lake in NZ.

It was a toss-up between this shot and the autumn leaves and trees on the bank where this photo was taken. I decided to put the autumn leaves shot in the Misc. Blipfolio, and click left.

Bigger reflections at this beautiful place.
