Light on the Hills….

Blenheim has missed out on the predicted Antarctic Polar blast so far…… as I write at 8.15.pm. The first cold front moved up from down south and skidded out to sea at Cape Campbell, south-east of Blenheim. The front would have then moved north over Cloudy Bay and Cook Strait to hit Wellington. Margaret phoned me at 5.pm and reported that it was raining there. We will see what the night brings when the second cold front moves up the South Island.
Maisie and I walked early this morning. As we neared the end of our route the early morning sunlight was creating patterns on the distant Wither Hills to the south of Blenheim.
