Yellow Flag Seedhead

Lovely dogwalk with my daughter. Afterwards we sat on a bench, overlooking the lake where Ollie dog paddles and Frankie dog swims, and had a nice long chat.

Back at home I photographed this yellow flag seedhead on the bank of our neighbour's lake. Though most parts of the plant are poisonous the seeds are sometimes roasted and used as a coffee substitute.
