Sgwarnog: In the Field

Bunting

Word had spread that there was a special visitor hanging around one of the car parks on the moor.

Snow Buntings breed in the arctic, but migrate south for the winter. The only previous time I’d seen any when when a small group stopped over for a few weeks at the next car park up in 2011. Perhaps something about moor turf around the car park fringes reminds them of the tundra?

It was nice to spend some time with this one.
