James is 8 - almost

I made a cake for James who’ll be 8 on Monday. He had a little party at Jump360, a trampoline place, with some friends in the morning and seemed to enjoy it. (Nathaniel was at cub camp but Ella was able to go. ). We haven’t be going to the parties since Covid - apparently the highest numbers are in the NE just now. However we went to visit in the afternoon to give him his present, a polystyrene glider which was what he wanted. (it only cost £5). It’s an outdoors thing so they were going off to fly it when we left. He wanted us to go to see it fly but we had to come home to get ready to go out to Carol and Phil’s for a meal. Carol is the cocktail queen so I’m looking forward to trying a new one!

Sandy features in one of the photos as she is definitely part of the family and loved by all. James is wonderfully gentle and calm with her. (Also his reading is improving and he is enjoying school so hopefully things are beginning to work out better for him).
