Europe by Van Day 34

This was our view as we entered the mouth of the Tyne this morning.

Last night the captain said “there will be movement”. The sail up the North Sea had 2 metre waves so we rolled a bit. It was fine though hard not to fall about in the shower.

We were on the car, not lorry deck, so it took a while to get off then there were long queues at border control but we gained an hour in time so I had time to get a few loads of washing done and the van unpacked.

When dealing with the post I found a strange envelope. People living in the house we moved from 18 years ago in Suffolk had opened by mistake a letter addressed to #1 daughter. It was from a savings account reminding her she had some money in it. It’s an unsettling thing, as she died 16 years ago.

276 miles from our Belgian campsite to home.
4227 miles total this trip.
