Nidderdale

Sadly, time to pack our bags and head for home.

But first, after a hearty breakfast, another house viewing. A lovely property, near the centre of Ripon but hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with the most beautiful resident cat! But almost certainly not the house.

We said goodbye to Ripon and drove to Pately Bridge for a short walk from there to Wath and back. In Wath there's an old Corn Mill, of special interest as one of my great grandfathers was a corn miller in Norfolk. A lovely walk, and somehow we managed to avoid the heavy showers.

After refreshment in Pateley Bridge, MrM drove us home a very long way round, as is his wont. At one point, way up on the moors somewhere (no idea where!), by way of exploring the area he took us on a long and winding road (extra) to nowhere, a dead end. At the top, in the distance, a shooting hut (extra). And some fabulous views!

Fish & chips for tea a little further along the way, and home in time to unpack before bed.
