Stink-pipe 2

When I arrived home from work today I looked up to admire the work carried out over the weekend by my landlord and neighbour and oops! Can you see their mistake?
They have removed the old grey soil-and-vent pipe that used to continue up above my openable kitchen window and encroached fractionally on my sideways view, and replaced it with a new shiny black shorter version that stops below my openable kitchen window and does not encroach on my view even fractionally.
Now there's a motivation to find my forever home before I feel a need to open my kitchen window again.
