Quintessential NY

In New York this weekend, doing the 5 Boro Bike Ride tomorrow. So expect a bike blip tomorrow, if I can still move after 42 miles.

So today we took a walk in Southern Manhattan, along the East River. Not only there is a wonderful bike path along the water, there are tennis courts, basketball courts, children playgrounds, and dog parks, and it's away from the crazy traffic.

Late afternoon, the sun started setting over New Jersey on the other side of the river, this friendly basketball game looked like an iconic image of New York. Not a picture of the Empire State building, or the Statue of Liberty, but a picture of people living here and just enjoying a sunny Saturday afternoon with friends.
