Today cyclists owned NYC

"40 miles, 5 Boros, 5 Bridges, 32,000 cyclists" was written on the volunteers T-shirts, thanks to all of them, today's bike ride was a wonderfully fun and friendly experience in New York.

Biking on a care-free 6th Avenue in Manhattan, together with 31,999 others cyclists is truly a unique experience. Going over the Queensborough bridge on a bike, or even biking on the FDR highway would be suicidal any other day, but today, cyclists owned the city.

The photo shows cyclists getting off the ferry taking us back to Manhattan after we finished the ride in Staten Island, 40 miles and a few hours after we started early this morning in Battery Park, the lower part of Manhattan.

We're leaving the city with new memories, few bruises and sore muscles, but we will be back next year.
