Passionflower

My turn to warm up the remaining residents in the butterfly house this morning and turn the heating on. 
There are still over 75 butterflies around (I counted them!), but as the weather has cooled considerably there are not so many species now. These must be the hardy ones. Still plenty of heliconiums, eggflys, owls and malachites, but not much else. The first bloom on the passionflower has decided to open now, with probably plenty more to come if it doesn't die with the cold! 

Need to take my Mum to a hospital appointment this afternoon so needed an early blip.  I'm on butterfly duty again tomorrow so maybe I'll blip another butterfly then :)
