The Lozarithm Lens

The Front Yard (Wednesday 12th October 2022)

This is just one of many autumn spiders that have emerged in the Woodland Garden. I've wasted creatively spent most of the afternoon trying to photograph this one in the front yard using two different cameras and three different lenses. Initially I was hoping to create an abstract for Abstract Thursday, shooting through the kitchen window (in Extras) but later I ventured outside and got the best results using a 100mm prime lens and decided on a macro instead to show off its fancy looks.
P.S. For PRspider: this was taken at home in Calne, Wiltshire.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Can - Outside My Door (recorded July 1969, Schloss Nörvenich, Federal Republic of Germany)
Although I know several tracks from Can's album Monster Movie I had somehow never heard this new favourite until Marc Riley played it on this evening. As I photographed this spider just ouside my front door it seemed the obvious choice.
