Sweet Solstice

Phoned the solicitor's in Alnwick first thing, and the very helpful administrator offered to have the original deeds and lease for the flat ready for collection this afternoon. Rest of the morning spent filling in forms for the the solicitor in Berwick who will deal with conveyancing this time.

After a bite to eat, MrM and I went down to Alnwick, produced the  documents required to prove who we are, and are now in possession of the lease and deeds. After that MrM was gasping for a drink, so we had coffee (and cake for MrM) in one of those bog-standard coffee shops. This place looks much more fun, so maybe we'll sample their coffee next time we're in the town.

After a quick trip to the DIY shop, which didn't have the item we need, we drove home, unfortunately just too late to take a copy of the relevant paperwork to the estate agent.
