If you can't beat them...

Richard's Mallow ( Malla sylvestris )

One of the few things still flowering in the garden.  As some of you may spot it is a singularly well named plant for Clickychick and me to have bought recently.

Mallows are a well distributed group of plants being found across Europe and as far as China.  This particular cultivar grows (according to the Secret Herb Garden where we bought it) to 1m height and 50cm spread.  One of the advantages, of Mallow from our point of view is that it is very attractive to pollinators.  Given the drastic fall in pollinators and other insects every little helps.
