If you can't beat them...

Rainbow over Ullswater

For the first time since early in the year, we have nobody in the Lodge this week.  Clickychick had her Covid booster and Flu injections booked so it was almost lunchtime when we arrived at the Lodge.  We weren't aiming to finish the cleaning all in the day, so around three o'clock, CC suggested we went home via the lake to get a blip.

At our first choice of viewpoint, there was no space in the layby so we moved on to the Glencoyne car park.  As we arrived there was a strong Rainbow over the Pooley Bridge end of the Lake.  CC leaped out of the car and I as always had to change lenses.  By the time I got to where I could see the rainbow was fading.  I mentioned to CC she must have got some good shots.  The answer "No a car stopped in the middle of the road and took shots I couldn't see past it".

Undaunted we crossed the road to wait to see if it reappeared.  Then it satrted to rain, so back into the car.  When the rain stopped we crossed again and the rainbow appeared, weak at first but eventually strong enough for a blip.
