Mountain Shadow

Back in July I blipped a sunrise scene from this location, nearly 3 months on and our troubled spinning rock has manoeuvred its way around the sun and now the it’s rising behind the main Sierra Nevada Mountains and this morning I caught this shot. To me it’s like the mountain peaks are casting their shadows high into the atmosphere as the sun breaks cover behind them. It was spectacular to look at and I hope the pic does it some justice!
