Big Bamboo

"Perhaps we could just lift a couple of plants from the front garden", said the Head Gardener.

Hmm? We had to get rid of some 'non-invasive' bamboo last year after it had spread all over the front garden. This Black Bambo had sent up a shoot that we had to put a red light on because of the risk to low flying aircraft but it hadn't spread too far. It did send some good roots down though. I offered to help although I was a bit wary because I still have a scar from the iron bar that smashed my face the last time we did the job. Lady Marian worked like a trojan and I stepped in to transport the first shrub and then later to add my brute force and ignorance to getting spades and forks under this monster and eventually heaving it out.

It's funny, it doesn't look quite such a beast now. It's the one in front not the one one with the telegraph wires attached to it.
