Banksia Rose….

The Banksia Rose, growing on its pergola near our front door, is bursting into flower. The flowers are doubles and they have a light, intoxicating fragrance, particularly noticeable in the evenings.
This morning I went to Stadium 2000 where I had the honour of welcoming hundreds of women “Leisure Marchers” from all around the South Island to Marlborough. They looked magnificent in their uniforms and put on an impressive March Past to start off their weekend. Women of all ages, some in their eighties. Amazing. Their collective motto is “ for Fitness, Friendship and Fun”. I wish them a great weekend here.
