The Calm After the Storm

A very powerful wind and rainstorm swept through southern Maine yesterday knocking power out for over 10,000 customers.  For me, the lights went out around 3:30 pm.  They are still out but the generator is working fine. The sunny, calm morning is a relief but it may be another 12 hours before power is restored.  My area is always the last on the restoration list as there is nothing "important" here; no hospitals, schools or fire/rescue facilities.  At least the garden grasses are still standing and looking lovely.
