Modern tea chest bass

A long day from 9.00am to 9.00pm. Started with a flash mob strum outside the Corn Exchange (extra), breakfast, a walk along the river (a car had crashed though the barriers overnight and was upside down in the river), the mid day turn, a couple of local groups, a coffee where we saw this innovative bass, a walk around the market, town and bridge, an afternoon jam with Uketok, early dinner, back for the evening professional performances all round off by an whole audience strum.

We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon jam, some 40 people belting out old favourites and new songs. I’m sure they could have heard us outside in the street. Very different, of course, from a traditional band but nevertheless very satisfying to be part of.

The evening performance featured Marc Gallgaher, Plastic Jeezus, Danilo Vignola and finally the Hedge Inspectors. Danilo Vignola was simply mesmerising. How could anyone play like that?

Today is Landon’s 5th birthday. We tried to FaceTime him while he was at his party. No chance! It was mayhem.
