Beach Band

Yesterday it was an impromptu parade, with marching bands, downtown, today, it was an unexpected performance on the beach. I could hear drums while sitting on or patio, so I hustled down to the beach to see what was going on. By the time I arrived, there was an entire marching band, complete with drums, horns, two tubas and the occasional parachute, with their feet in the water playing their hearts out. They even had baton twirlers. Maybe it was one of the groups from last night justifying a day on the beach, but they played for about twenty minutes, including one encore elicited by the enthusiastic group who had gathered to listen, then dumped their instruments and headed into the waves to cool off. Marching music two days in a row, who could ask for more!
