Contemplating Autumn's Glory

I always think that autumn gives us such a fabulous show of colours so that we can imprint them in our minds to remember, and rejoice anew, when the grey days of winter are upon us. I saw this dear little maple leaf caught in the metal railings on my walk in the late afternoon.

I'm posting Saturday's photo on Sunday morning (under Saturday's date!) because I was busy preparing my home: cleaning, cooking and tidying for the arrival of my son for two nights! He's over from Canada for 9 days! My daughter joined us for supper!
