Continuing my series of manhole covers!

A slowish start to the day but we met the others as we were finishing breakfast. We decided to walk into Palmanova so they could get something to eat. It was a little cooler and wetter than we’d hoped but a very pleasant walk nonetheless.

The girls are settling down after Monday’s hassles. My brother and his partner had swapped rooms with them so they weren’t on their own in the hotel. We’re all due to move to their hotel tomorrow.
They had planned to report Mondays incident to the Guardian Civil but as today is a national holiday, there was no one at the police station.

The bar we were were heading to in Palmanova was unfortunately closed for the season so we tried a different restaurant which made lovely toasties. Mr PHL and the girls decided to take a taxi back and I stayed with my brother and his partner for a wander along the seafront and a cheeky wee strawberry daiquiri before we walked back. Met the others at our roof top, glass bottomed pool. Very weird to be able to look down to the people in the street! The ‘kids’ had a great time splashing around and I even swam just a quick few yards as it was very very cold.

We got showered and changed before heading out to dinner at El Mundo where we’d enjoyed a meal last year. My sole waleska was delicious.,

A wee nightcap and back to the room to start packing. Thank you for your concern.

Backblipped Sunday 16th.
