Wax Sculpture.

About six weeks ago, having extracted a honey crop from the bees, I took all of the honey coated waste wax produced in the process and put it in a feeder for the bees to clean. Having done that, they exercised their artistic flair to create this little sculpture. It’s actually quite convenient as I was able to pour their autumn feed straight into the tray and they have a safe walkway to cross the lake of syrup back to the safety of home.
 
This is all perfectly normal behaviour on all parts; what isn’t normal is that the four colonies on The Estate are still taking down winter feed while those in the club’s Apiary and those in my back garden stopped several weeks ago.
