1. I was surprised to see some beautiful crocuses (*) today

2. To be having dinner with our speaker at this nice pub in Grantchester and apologising for the fact that he could not speak to the camera club tonight.


(*) Evidently in Latin terms, croci would be the correct plural form. However, crocuses is also correct as the vernacular plural of crocus and it comes down to personal choice.
