My favourite tulip

A glorious sunny afternoon encouraged me to be rather lazy. The light was stunning as the sun moved towards the west and the array of red, yellow and purple tulips jostled in the strong breeze.

We hope to set off early tomorrow for a proper jaunt, with a picnic lunch to be enjoyed on the beach at Clevedon on the Severn estuary. So I don't feel too guilty about this simple image of these very long limbed purple tulips, who seem to have enjoyed and benefited from the late spring.
