AR Ceremony

Proud Granny, here! My grandson was one of only two children in his class to be awarded today in the silliest ceremony that I have ever seen!
AR is Accelerated Reading. The program rewards the children when they reach 100 points. It took my grandson a whole year of reading to reach this goal. In addition to wearing the cape and tophat, he gets to have lunch with his teacher. He was awarded a certificate and a button.
Not the best photo, but it does show some of the silliness. The 8th graders did a fanfare with kudzus. They played Baby Shark. The big moment was the signing of the book. My grandson is number 404 in the history of the school to reach AR 100.
