Gwerthfawrogiad o amser ~ An appreciation of time

“...The editors of 'Life' rejected Kerész'a photographs when he arrived in the United States in 1937 because, they said, his images 'spoke too much'; they made us reflect, suggested a meaning - a different meaning from the literal one. Ultimately, Photography is subversive not when it frightens, repels, or even stigmatizes, but when it is 'pensive', when it thinks.”
—Roland Barthes

Un peth am Blipfoto yw'r ymdeimlad o dreigl amser a'r gwerthfawrogiad pan mae'n dod, a phan mae'n mynd. Mae rhywbeth i weld bob dydd.

Heddiw roeddwn i yn y pentref eto a chefais i'r amser cerdded o amgylch mynwent yr eglwys.  Rydw i'n ffeindio rhywbeth newydd i werthfawrogi bob amser. Heddiw roedd y cerflun o angel hon.

Roeddwn i'n meddwl prin iawn yw'r adegau pan fydd pobl gyffredin yn gallu gosod cerflun yn gyhoeddus, a dyma un ohonyn nhw. Rydw i'n gwerthfawrogi'r gofeb, a'r bobol oedd ei gosod yno.

One thing about Blipfoto is the sense of time passing and the appreciation when it comes, and when it goes. There is something to see every day.

Today I was in the village again and I had the time to walk around the churchyard. I always find something new to appreciate. Today there was this statue of an angel.

I thought there are very few times when ordinary people can put up a statue in public, and this is one of them. I appreciate the memorial, and the people who put it there.
