Woodies…

The tiny bit jutting out in the middle of the building is now Woodies take-away coffee etc and it’s very popular so it’s rare to get a pic without a queue. But my memories of it was one of the best places to get an ice cream; not that it happened too often back then. They cut up blocks of ice cream of your chosen flavor and sandwiched it between two wafers. Nothing revolutionary there but it was the size of the chunks cut. Too thick for little hands to hold properly. So thick that you could safely lick all round with no danger of your tongue catching the rough edge of the wafer!
Aren’t memories wonderful if a tad unrealistic!
