Colour at Queenswood

Backblip

We packed up and left our accomodation.  We had found a "Golden ticket" in our room which told us to collect a prize from reception.  They brought out a box of goodies for us to choose from and we went for a small bottle of wine.  Very nice too!

We drove back towards home, stopping for sandwiches by the River Wye at Tintern.  Our next stop was at Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum where we had a walk around and admired the autumn colours on the trees.

We then went to Boddenham Lake Nature Reserve where we saw a kingfisher land on a branch (a distand shot is extra).  F saw it catch a fish but I was too slow with the camera!

Our nest stop was for fish and chips at the chip shop in Leominster before calling to see F's eldest daughter and family.  A cup of tea was very welcome!

We then drove home after a lovely few days away.
