Girl from the North......

This girl cailleach used her bus pass for the first time and headed down from the north for a day in the big city. 

HazelH noticed from a Facebook posting that we were coming down and invited us for coffee and cake which we accepted. An added bonus to the day's planned activities. 

We then meet A for lunch in Dishoom which I have wanted to visit since it first opened. It did not disappoint. The food was great and it was great to chat with A - quite the young woman now.

A quick stop at Castle Art so T could see Bob Dylan paintings and then we bade farewell to A and headed over to Playhouse. 

I wasn't sure what to expect from Girl from North Country - it was darker than I was expecting and more like a play with music than a musical. However the story was well told with the songs woven in well and performed well, albeit slightly differently from how Mr Dylan would do them. We will have an oppertunity to hear him sing at end of the month.

Now on bus heading home.
