Armoured

I went on a Sussex Butterfly conservation walk today to see Pearl-bordered fritillaries...sadly it was still a bit early for them but I did find this beautiful Dor beetle. What the photo doesn't show is the amazing metallic blue colour on the edges of his armour.
I think he is quite sweet, and clearly well armoured in his metallic blue and black!
